The Second International Bodhisattva Zen-Art Festival
«Maha-Upaya-Party» will be held from
July 27 till August 5, 2007.
Location of the Festival is Yurta (nomad's tents) camp of the Cultural and Educational Center «Etnomir» near town of Kaluga.
More than 400 people will come to this Festival. They are persons in business, arts and self-development. Goals of the festival are: creation and enhancement of the creative, artistic and business environments; providing to the participants the opportunity to express themselves by creating their own artistic act or event at the festival. The festival will also be attended by various musical groups (Rock, «electronic», instrumental music).

«Bodhisattva» (sanskr.) — enlightened person devoted to serving others
Maha-Upaya-Party Festival has been created by a large community of more than 200 young persons. They want to advance simultaneously in two directions: in external (management and business) and in the inner direction (spiritual and personal). They want to combine these two vectors by the means of doing artistic, business and social projects. The average age of participants is 25 years.
More than 200 artistic and business projects were implemented in Russia and abroad by several independent groups from this community beginning in 1999. One of these projects is a unique educational environment «NadProfObrazovanie» (OverProfEducation) http://nadprof.ru/manifesto.shtml, another project – educational seminars. The first International Maha-Upaya-Party Bodhisattva Festival was conducted by «NadProfObrazovanie» in September 2006. Right now more than 30 projects are being actively developed in this environment in different formats. One of these projects is organization of the Second International Maha-Upaya-Party Bodhisattva Festival.
Goals of the Festival: creation and advancement of cultural, artistic, business and educational project environments. Creating an opportunity for the Festival participants to realize themselves the areas of on-stage performances, Festival organization and actual conducting of the Fest.
Bigger goal of the Festival: creating a space where creative and talented young people could realize their potential. From understanding – to acting!
Unusual format of the Festival: every participant can introduce his own program or an activity.
In September of 2006 first Maha-Upaya-Party Festival that was conducted near town of Klin, Russia. That event was organized by more than 50 persons and it was visited by about 300 participants. Second Maha-Upaya-Party Festival will happen this year in Yurta (nomad's tents) camp of the Cultural and Educational Center «Etnomir» near Kaluga, in about 90 km from Moscow (more about this village at its site http://ethnomir.ru/cosmoyurt.html).

Lodging:
in real Yurta or in your own tents in a special area. Meals: in camp’s canteen. The Festival will be held in the open field at the Cultural and Educational Center «Etnomir» in the Kaluga region with very good ecology.

Game named «TZARNITSA» Reconnaissance and military operations in the field organized as close to real war actions and operations as possible but without guns and bullets, fire, victims and blood!!! Just peaceful game))).
Forte Boyardee Games (Sporting competitions, Game similar to TV show shot in France).

Spontaneous on the spot invented games and combat (fighting) of akyns – Aitys.

Maha mega for everybody Face-Body-Art and painting on bodies with bright paint, especially brought from India for this purpose!

Mega Magical Orchestra (MagOrk) jam show, performance of 100 and even more musicians playing simultaneously on folk musical instruments, such as flutes, vagrants, guitars, didgeridoo, drums, horns and reed pipes.
Daily Blin Show (Pancake Show); never-ending continuous frying of pancakes by our own efforts, in shifts for sure)))).
Earthenware handicraft, potter’s wheel for the clay to be shaped in the form of the jug and other saucers or cups, mastering how to do that using skilled master explanations and tips how to make earthenware! And what is more to study then how to make it solid and make final processing, we mean, burning in blast- furnace, which is to be built here at the Festival!
